I, along with Taryn Fisher were asked by WKNE Chris and Greg, to talk on the radio about Friends of Public Art, May is Mural Month and why public art is important in our community!!! it was my first time talking live on the radio, Tayrns too! the entire show was dedicated to the Arts and to recognize how important it is to fund the arts. I will update this post as soon as I can get my hands on a recording of it. That was the first part of the day...
Art walk included us in their events at Railroad Sq. I stood along side musicians and face painters. I was happy to have spent my day talking to all the folks who spent their day on Main St. too! Below is a large chalk board (1960's) where I invited the community to participate in a collaborative art piece.
I also brought a type writer to Art Walk so the kidos' could see a piece of history. Together we all typed up a collaborative poem! One day I will type it up and share it!
